Ionuț Teoderașcu is a Romanian photographer, interested in the phenomenon of migration, in the relationship between memory and family and an explorer of the rural environment. He studied Journalism at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, during which time he was a photojournalist for “Opinia Studențească” and president of the Association of Student Journalists. He graduated with a master’s degree in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism from the University of Westminster, London, in September 2020. “0.16% – An exercise in democracy” was the first project exhibited (in 2018) at a common exhibition. This was followed by the exhibition “Waiting for Brexit”, in 2019, which presents aspects of the life of a Romanian couple settled in London.

His latest projects are “The faces of the pandemic”(Romania, 2020) and “Nobody’s home” (Romania, 2019-2020), a short documentary movie about his grandparents’ past and their home.
Ionuț Teoderașcu was one of the participants of the Canon Student Development Program 2020, part of Visa Pour l’Image, one of the most important photography festivals in the world.
